Data note: growthepie figures below reflect their own last-updated timestamp of September 6, 2026; DeFiLlama figures are live as of September 7, 2026.

Today, Robinhood Chain is processing more daily transactions than Arbitrum, and a week ago it was ahead of Base too.

That’s an unusual sentence to write about a discount brokerage’s blockchain, so it’s worth looking at what’s behind it.

The numbers, as of today

As of September 6, Robinhood Chain is at 7.5 million transactions and 345,700 daily active addresses in the latest full day of data. Some of this activity is happening while Robinhood covers gas fees for eligible transactions through Robinhood Wallet during the network’s first 90 days, a subsidy that can shape both how many transactions get sent and how many addresses show up as active.

DeFiLlama’s live dashboard adds more context: $908.65 million in DeFi TVL, $989.73 million in stablecoin market cap (an all-time high, up 27.75% week over week), and $251.32 million in real-world-asset market cap. Twenty-four-hour DEX volume sits at $1.37 billion, with the 7-day figure at $10.42 billion, up 95.3% week over week.

From memecoins to a broader mix

Robinhood Chain’s first weeks were dominated by memcoin trading: by July 27, memecoins accounted for roughly 79% of the chain’s DEX volume, well ahead of the Stok Tokens it was built to host. Robinhood has also been running its gas subsidy for eligible transactions through Robinhood Wallet since launch, which has made it easier for existing app users to try the chain.

But the composition has been broadening, and the DEX volume chart tells the story on its own: a $945 million day on August 25, a $989 million day on August 28, then $1.6 billion on September 1, three all-time highs inside a single week. growthepie’s own application data now has Uniswap, Relay, and the Infinitism/ERC-4337 account-abstraction infrastructure as the three biggest apps by seven-day transaction share.

Stock Tokens may be more interesting than the charts

Robinhood calls Stock Tokens its flagship asset on the chain, and for developers, it may be more interesting than the volume charts.

At the base layer, Stock Tokens are standard ERC-20s, so existing wallets, libraries, and tooling work out of the box, available to eligible users in 120+ countries (the U.S. isn’t one of them). The important extension is ERC-8056, the Scaled UI Amount standard, built specifically to handle stock splits and dividends without rebasing the token itself.

Here’s the mechanic. A corporate action never touches balanceOf() or totalSupply(). Those numbers stay exactly where they were. Instead, the contract exposes a uiMultiplier() that a wallet or app applies to the raw balance to get the share-equivalent amount, through a balanceOfUI() helper. At launch that multiplier sits at 1e18 (equivalent to 1.0); when a split or a reinvested dividend happens, the multiplier updates and a UIMultiplierUpdated event fires with an effective timestamp.

Prices run the same logic in reverse. Robinhood’s REST price API returns the raw underlying-equity price, but the onchain Chainlink feed already has the multiplier baked in. Apply it twice and you get the wrong number.

This is straightforward once you know about it. This detail is exactly what makes it possible to solve a specific problem: representing something that occasionally splits, pays dividends, and still has to behave correctly inside DeFi contracts.

What we’re seeing at the RPC layer

We can share our perspective as an RPC provider.

Robinhood Chain requests through dRPC grew 51.6% from July to August. Four of the five heaviest methods grew right along with it: eth_call led by a wide margin, up 89%, followed by eth_getLogs (+60%), eth_getTransactionReceipt (+53%), and eth_getBlockByNumber (+44%).

The exception is eth_getBlockReceipts, down 27%, the only method in the top five moving the other way.

Two months in

Two months in, nobody has to take Robinhood’s word for any of this anymore. There’s nearly $990 million in stablecoins, well over a billion dollars a day in DEX volume, and a Stock Token standard designed to handle corporate actions onchain.
